Placeholder notice

These terms are a good-faith placeholder, written from what the product actually does, and have not yet had a formal legal review. They will be reviewed and very likely revised before Whiff is broadly launched. If anything here conflicts with how Whiff actually operates, the actual operation controls and we will correct this page.

Your account

Whiff is a free fandom pick'em product for users 13 and older. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in link and any device you're signed in on secure, and for the accuracy of the display name, date of birth, and other information you provide. You can delete your account at any time from Account Settings; see our Privacy Policy for what deletion does and does not remove.

Acceptable use

Whiff is for running and participating in pick'em pools with people you know. Don't use Whiff to harass, impersonate, or abuse other members; to attempt to access another member's account, another pool's private data, or the service's infrastructure without authorization; to upload unlawful content; or to circumvent the age floor, moderation, or pool-membership controls. We can remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these terms, consistent with our moderation practices.

Whiff+ subscriptions

Whiff+ is an optional paid subscription, purchased on the web through Stripe, offered monthly or yearly at the price shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price for the plan you chose until you cancel — we will not charge a price change without first giving you reasonable notice as required by law. Payment is processed entirely by Stripe; Whiff never receives or stores your full card number. See the "Subscriptions and billing" section of our Privacy Policy for what Stripe collects.

You can cancel any time through the self-serve Manage Subscription link on the Whiff+ page, which opens Stripe's Billing Portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund the current billing period. Refunds are not offered except where required by applicable law — for example, if you believe you were charged in error, contact support@whiffsports.com and we will look into it.

Whiff+ features may change over time as they’re built out, and we may need to pause new subscriptions (for example, during a maintenance window) without that affecting your existing subscription or your ability to cancel it.

Content and intellectual property

Whiff’s product, design, and branding belong to Whiff. Messages, display names, and other content you post remain yours, but by posting in a pool or group you give the other members of that pool or group permission to see it as part of using the product. Whiff does not claim ownership of your picks, messages, or imported history.

Disclaimers

Whiff is provided "as is." Team stats, win probabilities, and any other Whiff+ insight are estimates based on historical and in-season data — they are not guarantees, betting advice, or a promise of accuracy, and Whiff is not a wagering product. We work to keep the service available and accurate but don’t guarantee uninterrupted access or that every figure is error-free.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. We'll update the effective date below when we do, and for a material change to the Whiff+ subscription terms, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify active subscribers before it takes effect.
